How to find us ...
Click on the map images above to see a much larger version, which are suitable for printing and easier reading. We are located north of the R568, which runs between Sneem and Molls Gap. From Killarney (about 20 miles): take the N71 road south in the Kenmare direction. Drive past Muckross House, through the National Park. As you ascend through the Park, you come to Moll's Gap where there is an Avoca shop. Take the R568 (right) in the direction of Sneem. Pass the signs for Lough Brin on the right and Glencar on the right. Do not take these roads, but stay on the main road. About 2 miles after the Glencar/Ballaghbeama turn off, you will see the Eskine Kennel sign on the right at a small T-junction/cross. Take this road and continue for 2 miles right to the very end. You will know you are near the kennels when you pass a working farm with dogs. Keep on the road, which becomes quite rough and veers around to the left, pass a ruin and then into Eskine Kennels. From Kenmare (about 13 miles): leave Kenmare on the Killarney road (N71). At the Centra /Whytes supermarket, take the left turn onto the N70 signposted for Sneem. After about 7 miles you will come to Blackwater Bridge. Do not pass over Blackwater Bridge, but take the right turn (effectively straight on) and drive down this road, passing the Blackwater Tavern on the left, to the very end where you will come to a main road (R568). Turn left and drive for about 2.2 miles, where you will see the Eskine Kennel sign on the right at a small T-junction/cross. Take this road and continue for 2 miles right to the very end. You will know you are near the kennels when you pass a working farm with dogs. Keep on the road, which becomes quite rough and veers around to the left, pass a ruin and then into Eskine Kennels. From Sneem (about 8 miles): take the Killarney road (R568) out of the village. After 6 miles you will see the Eskine Kennel sign on the left at a small T-junction/cross. Take this road and continue for 2 miles right to the very end. You will know you are near the kennels when you pass a working farm with dogs. Keep on the road, which becomes quite rough and veers around to the left, pass a ruin and then into Eskine Kennels. |
